About Us
Our company was founded in 1971 by Nathan Weinstein and Alan Fox to sell Texaco gasoline. In the next few years the business changed due to the economy and the ever-changing community around us. So each year for the next few years we began selling more and more tires, and in 1977 stopped selling gasoline altogether. With Nate getting on in years, and the business growing at a rapid pace, Alan bought him out in 1976.

In 1995, Ram Tire and six other tire dealers started a buying group for the purpose of obtaining better and stronger purchasing power. Since then, we have added other tire dealers, and as of October 2002, we now have 213 stores in 6 states. They are California, Arizona, Nevada, Hawaii, Colorado, and New Mexico. The total sales of the combined group are now in excess of $60 million for the year of 2002.
In 1995, Ram Tire went through a total renovation. We made our new building two stories, with the top floor as storage. We have inventory between 6,000 and 10,000 tires all the time. We have state-of-the-art alignment system and feature the finest in tire changing equipment.
In April of 2007, Ram Tire Co. was bought out by SCB Sunrise Inc. run by the Chung Family. Led by its President, William Chung, and brother, Ronald Chung, Ram Tire Co. continues to grow and strive for excellence-delivering the same kind of service that Alan Fox had built Ram Tire Co. to what it is today.
